You are part of the Supply Chain Management Team. This team is responsible for the entire supply chain: from procurement, production planning, customer service to inbound and outbound transportation, and design of SAP and other systems. The SCM team is a multifunctional team which has to manage the supply chain operations of the circular compounding facility in an efficient way. Exchangeability between different roles is key.

For this position we are looking for a Commercial Assistant who handles QCP’s customer orders. The Commercial Assistant is the primary contact person for customers in terms of the complete Order-to-Cash process. You will cooperate closely with the Account & Application Development Manager. Further on, SAP key user activities will be part of the job, such as master data maintenance and implementation of improvements and upgrades.

You will report to the Chief Supply Chain Officer.

Your challenge
As Commercial Assistant you will
  • Handle customer orders, including
    • Order entry and confirmation
    • Price maintenance
    • Transport call-off and follow-up
    • Order delivery
    • Invoicing and follow-up
    • All related documents
    • Support to solve availability / delivery issues
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Perform reception and phone desk duties
  • Maintain all customer related data in SAP
  • Develop and implement related system improvements

Your profile
To fulfill this role, we demand the following:
  • Bachelor degree or similar knowledge by experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in customer oriented jobs
  • Knowledge of SAP or any other ERP system
  • Good knowledge of MS office applications
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English (speech and writing), German and preferably one other EU language (speech)

For this specific position it is important to be customer oriented and have strong interpersonal skills. You are keen on administrative details and can strike a good balance between cost and service levels, appropriate to the Chemical Industry. You need to be stress resistant to cope with a daily changing environment. You are willing to back-up other SCM roles, as a team player.
